Angled door edges create new looks in no handle kitchen design

Unique to Cesar kitchens from Italy – and available through thinkdzine’s kitchen showroom in Sydney – are cabinet and drawer edges available in a choice of angles that create interesting and distinctive no handle kitchen look.

For example, Elle’s kitchen cabinetry has an edge angled at 45 degree door. This means it can sit flush against the bench top, effectively making the sides of the bench top disappear. This gives a very clean lined, minimalist profile that looks fantastic in contemporary settings.

Elle is the only kitchen collection available in Australia that comes standard with this 45 degree cabinet door edge angle. You can have a stainless steel bench top or stone bench top, and either will appear to sit ‘inside’ the top of the cabinetry because of the angled door effect.

With a push-pull opening device, handles are unnecessary, which continues the streamlined look. This detail enables a true seamless no handle kitchen.

Another choice of style is the Cloe kitchen range which has a 30 degree angle in its cabinetry door edges. This creates a slight shadow effect between the top of doors and drawers, and the bench top. With its slim recess, it’s easy to grasp and open drawers and doors without the need for handles.

The Elle and Cloe kitchen ranges are elegant yet highly practical. Kitchen cabinetry doors and drawers are 25mm thick, making them strong and solid. The reason why it is important to have this thickness of door is to make it much easier to open. With soft close drawers there is resistance when opening . So if you have a 18mm thick door then it is very difficult to open. 25mm thick doors make opening drawers much easier.

Both ranges are available in a choice of black walnut, heat-treated oak, teak, and gloss or silk-effect lacquers in a wide range of colours.

Lacquer colour choices include white, butter, ivory, cord, ash, pearl grey, cloud grey, turtledove grey, clay, mustard, rust, red, ruby red, fuchsia, aubergine, airforce blue, sea blue, coffee, graphite and black.
