Longueville Residence – Full House Renovation

full house renovation Sydney

One of our favourite projects from 2021… our Longueville Residence!

After completing the renovation of the clients' kitchen, main living area and master ensuite, we were lucky enough to come back and help them transform the Television Unit. The property is surrounded by an abundance of lush greenery and sits high on a hillside with panoramic views of the outdoors and the Lane Cove River. We are super excited to finally see it all come together, and we know they are too!

The Client brief for the kitchen

The clients of this newly renovated home in Longueville, NSW wanted the kitchen to be a centrepiece of the living area. The clients love to entertain and wanted materials that can withstand heavy use in the kitchen. There were angles windows and door details at the back of the ground floor, which seamlessly connected the larger kitchen space to the dining area. Changing the shape of the back area, and squaring off the window and doors and changing the access point to the balcony helped us create a more welcoming open space for the kitchen and dining area.

Our clients love to entertain, and they wanted to have the fridge, pantry and cooking zones hidden from view. This was achieved by placing them in the gallery section of the kitchen space. The use of the retractable door system allowed for the ovens and the drinking zone to be cleverly hidden when not in use. The island became the centrepiece of the industrial design direction, a unique treatment which allows it to float above the floor with a framed system. Stunning porcelain bench-top provide strength and durability. Structural lacquer doors on the island, an industrial texture paint finish, with the warmth of dark-oak texture wood veneer as the main feature for all tall cabinets, completes the stunning look.

A circular structural post was also cladded in a peal mosaic to create a connection between the spaces. Timber flooring was selected in a whitewashed oak finish as a contrast against the dark oak and titanium coloured doors. The beautiful crystal pendant lighting over the dining table was matched to the pendants over the island, creating the soft and sophisticated look of the 40's.

Master Ensuite

Bathroom renovation Sydney

This master ensuite embodies a rich and dark palette which creates a luxurious and dramatic retreat-like atmosphere for the clients in this stunning property. With an excellent level of detail and high-quality finish throughout, this bathroom is truly sumptuous. The combination of the black marble tiles with the gold tap ware completes the look. The curved mirror and bathtub create a lovely contrast with the linear tiles.
